• Question: Why do we have eyebrows?

      I understand people without eyebrows suffer from sweat dripping off their forehead and getting in their eyes.

      I don’t have that problem, and I have eyebrows, so it seems a good explanation to me.

      I agree with daniel… it helps you see clearly you are sweating or if it’s raining etc. Also i think they probably have some importance in communicating facial expressions 😀

      Yeh, they both sound like reasonable explanations to me – I wonder if that’s why they’re kind of rounded then? As like a guide for any excess sweat/water caught up in them, to guide it down the side of the face? If so, I think that’s rather nifty.

      I hadn’t really considered the importance of eyebrows before now – so thanks for the question!

      You would look silly without them! Never a good idea to shave them off. I think it has to do with sweat, as most hair does, and they must stop things to get in your eyes.
