      Not sure really.

I’m a big F1 fan, and those were the years when Michael Schumacher was easily dominating and no one could touch him. So the racing was pretty dull, maybe that contributed to it?

At a-level I knew enough physics to start learning some on my own. I also had a really encouraging physics teacher who used to lend me books and take time to talk about physics. There was a lot of excitement about the LHC starting at CERN too.
I’d always been interested in particle physics, as well as motor racing, so I guess it all just swayed me.

There are still times when I think I could have been a racing engineer instead, but I’m also really enjoying what I do now.
I think that’s the important thing. If you’re lucky or hard working enough to be doing something you enjoy, things will always be OK.
