I think I have…
I remember being little and asking my family “what’s electricity?” and being told to “be quiet and go to sleep!” so I guess it’s always been there in me somewhere…
But I think I only really really started enjoying it a lot at university!
I’ve always been interested in how things work, in a very practical way when I was younger. I was constantly taking things apart and making inventions around the house. I didn’t see the link between this kind of investigation and science in school until secondary school however!
I remember writing in a primary school report that I had no interest in science at all. But then there wasn’t much Physics at primary school, just Biology and Chemistry.
It’s definitely Physics that gets me excited, and I’ve always been interested in that!
As far as I can remember I always like maths and it stays with me, when I get to know chemistry I liked it too, with physics it wasn’t so straight forward but that’s what I like the most, now. At high school, I wasn’t big fan of physics, till I read few chapters of Richard Feynman ”The Feynman lectures on physics” and it was coming to that point when at university I meet those scientists full of passion towards physics and I cannot imagine my life without getting more and more knowledge about physics. On the other hand few years ago I was quite seriously considering to became theatre (drama) director, but physics won:)
