We disected sardines in biology in school. It was all done in a controlled environment. I didn’t mind it too much, certainly not as much as some of the others in class. I think it depends upon how you are with things like that – I think because I was in a lab, under instruction I was OK.
I’ve only once seen a dissection in school of a mouse, and I felt very ill and had to leave the classroom! Perhaps this is why I didn’t become a doctor or a biologist!
I have never dissected anything or even seen anything get dissected. I really do not know. I imagine it could be quite interesting to see what was inside, but i definitely wouldn’t want the creature to have died for the purpose.
